Napkin

Cloth napkins can be purchased or made in a wide variety of styles, colours and materials. Top quality, traditional napkins are made from linen, are white, and are perfectly square. Starched and ironed they can be folded into myriad shapes. Good napkins can also be made from cotton and even nylon. Napkins can come in any style or pattern. White is still considered to exude the most quality. However, other colours can be used to good effect, especially if they can be coordinated with the available dinnerware. Monograms can be sewn into them to further distinguish them. Other than plain colours  checks are popular, especially red checks which remind diners of intimate Italian and French restaurants. Other patterns may be attempted, but simple seems to be best.

Napkin uses:

  *    A square piece of cloth or paper used at a meal to wipe fingers or lips and also to protect our cloth.

  *    A napkin or face towel is a rectangle of cloth or tissue paper used at the table for wiping our 
        mouth while eating. It is usually small and folded.

  *    A small piece of table linen that is used to wipe the mouth and to cover the lips.

  *    Also to make the environment of the restaurant look more interesting and exclusive.
